Our water is sourced from 510 meters beneath the East Sea of Korea, a rare geological environment where deep ocean water exists close to shore.
At this depth, sunlight cannot penetrate and modern contaminants cannot reach, allowing the water to remain cold, stable, and naturally mineralized.
Known for its steep continental shelf and slow circulation, preserving deep water layers that have remained isolated for thousands of years. This natural protection maintains consistent mineral balance and clarity that cannot be replicated through filtration or processing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Unbelievable Water begins 500+ meters below the surface of the East Sea, in cold, dark, stable deep water where sunlight and most surface contaminants never reach.
A dedicated deep-sea intake tower and offshore pipeline pull that water up and move it through sealed, temperature-controlled infrastructure straight to our facility, protecting it from surface exposure.
At the plant, the water goes through primary and secondary reverse osmosis to remove unwanted substances, followed by precise mineral concentration steps. The goal is simple:
- clean the water to strict safety standards
- keep its natural mineral balance intact, rather than stripping it and adding minerals back later.
From there, it’s held in controlled storage, batch-tested for taste, clarity, microbes, and key minerals, and only then bottled.
- PFAS “forever chemicals” Tests: 18 PFAS compounds (including PFOA, PFOS, GenX and related acids) by Eurofins (EPA 537.1). Result: None detected in our sample down to 2 parts per trillion (2 ng/L).
- Pesticides, herbicides & PCBs Tests: 150+ common agricultural pesticides, herbicides and PCBs (multiple GC / LC methods). Result: None detected at the lab’s reporting limits in our sample.
- Industrial chemicals & solvents (VOCs / SVOCs) Tests: 100+ industrial VOCs and semi-VOCs (e.g., trihalomethanes, chlorinated solvents, plasticizers). Result: All measured at or below strict drinking water standards; most were not detected at all.
- Disinfection byproducts & treatment residues Tests: Haloacetic acids (HAA5), trihalomethanes, chlorine, chlorite, chloramines, bromate, perchlorate. Result: None detected or well below regulatory limits in our sample.
- Metals & minerals Tests: Heavy metals and mineral profile plus total dissolved solids and pH. Result: Meets drinking water standards with a clean mineral profile and low TDS.
- Microorganisms Tests: Total coliform, E. coli and other microbial indicators. Result: No coliform or E. coli detected in our sample.
- Radioactivity Tests: Gross alpha/beta and radium-226. Result: Activity below U.S. drinking water limits.
- Microplastics Tests: Korea Institute of Analytical Science & Technology (KIAST), 2.5 L sample, down to 45 μm. Result: No microplastics detected at the method’s detection limit.
